Eye vitamins are essential to have the healthy eyes for a longer period and nowadays it is impossible for us to have the entire eye vitamins in our food as we are fast in our activities and no time to think of these vitamins. So there comes the vitamin in pills form to cope up with the speed.

We should select the vitamins for eyes which should contain the vitamins A, C, E, and B2 and zinc and selenium as minerals if possible newly derived lutein(antioxidant). These vitamins should be taken moderately and taking much quantity is not proper for our health too. These vitamins alone will not help in certain diseases like macular degeneration and glaucoma.

These are effective along with appropriate medical treatment. Generally dietary intake of green leafy vegetables gives good amount of Carotenoids, fruit and vegetables like carrot and cantaloupe gives much beta carotene. These vitamins, minerals and supplements are to be taken according to the bodies absorbing capacity and some vitamins are fat-soluble vitamins. Others are water soluble and while we take these vitamins necessary amount of fat or water must be consumed for proper absorption.

Credit : touchinglynaive.wordpress
Most commonly elder people who take regular fiber for regulating their intestinal motility will not absorb these vitamins and minerals properly as the fiber content they take interfere in the absorption of these vitamins. This absorption rate is also modified by environmental toxins and functional disorders of the liver and small intestine. Every one should not take the same amount of these vitamins and it can be decided by the age and necessity.

However including this daily-recommended amount of vitamins and supplements is possible for us and this form of healthy diet is the way for having proper ratios of nutrients in our system. Drinking plenty of water is essential for our body to metabolize the nutrients efficiently and absorbing the vitamins properly.

Vitamins and minerals to be included in the healthy diet are as follows,

Vitamin A (beta-carotene)
